The Puffer My Size

I finished this Puffer My Size back in December, and it’s already become an absolute staple in my wardrobe. I found the pattern by Ministrikk on a long Ravelry-scrolling afternoon a good few months ago, and it sat on my make list eagerly waiting for me to purchase the yarn and get cracking. It’s knit from super chunky yarn and, as such, works up pretty quickly. It did feel like the body went on forever but once it was finished and I realised that all I had left to knit was the  ...

2018 Knitting Goals

It wasn’t until I posted my 2017 review on Instagram Stories that I realised just how much I’d done last year! My memory is notoriously poor, so it was a good reminder of how far I’ve come, and just how I got here! There were way more frogged projects than I’d expected, but also some of my all-time favourite knits, so that’s a pretty good balance if you ask me. Now I’m looking forward to 2018, and I want to set some intentions. I’m not going to be  ...

December Knitting Update

Hey friends! Here we are again, with the next monthly knitting update. I can’t believe December has been and gone already! It’s been a busy month, which is why you haven’t heard from me at all here, or much on Instagram, but it’s been the best! Between Sam and I, we’ve got lots of family to see over the festive period, so we’ve spent a lot of time socialising with our nearest and dearest, eating great food and generally enjoying the merriment! I thought I  ...

November Knitting Update

Phew! Seriously, how is it December already? November, like most months, was a good knitting month. For the majority, I focused on one main project, but the end of the month brought with it the desire to cast on something new, and I certainly obliged, having recently acquired some  ...

The Flock Party with Love Knitting

This one is something a little different coming from me today. Last week I had the pleasure to attend The Flock Christmas Party in London, and I wanted to share the experience with you. The Flock are Love Knitting‘s pattern designers and ambassadors, and we were invited to join the Love Knitting team for an evening of socialising, crafts and fizz! As a sole attendee, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I arrived, but I was immediately greeted with the warmest welcome and  ...

San Agústin Facecloth by Chain Twenty

Merel at Chain Twenty was one of the first people I followed on Instagram back when I started Knits Please last year. I was immediately in love with her beautiful, minimalist aesthetic, and I always loved to see what she was working on. I’ve definitely been inspired by more than one of her projects, and when she started to design her own knitting pattern, I just knew that I’d want to make it. The San Agústin facecloth is a classic design. It’s modern and simple enough for  ...
