I love me a knitted sock. Not only can you feel smug about clothing your toes in something you fashioned yourself, they’re also the perfect project to take on adventures.
They’re small enough to fit in hand luggage, and quick enough to feel like you’ve made good progress, even when you only work on it for a fraction of the time you think you will.
Naturally, I like my socks to be simple, so I’ve made it my mission to concoct the perfect vanilla sock recipe for my minimal tastes.
A short ankle and a snug fit are my main requirements, and after many tests I’ve finally come up with the combination that works for me.
These socks are top down, heel flap construction worked in one size, with a prompt to get the foot length right for you, because I’m sure we don’t all have my long feet!
On purchase you will be able to download a PDF of the pattern. Please make sure you save this somewhere you can find it, and don’t forget to check your spam folder if your email doesn’t come through soon after purchase.
To knit this pattern you’ll need:
50g 4ply yarn of your choice
2.5mm circular knitting needle
This pattern is knit in the round, using circular knitting needles.
