The idea for this tank was born in an unusually hot June in the UK, when the beating sun required cooler clothes, but my love of knits just couldn’t be abated.
Once inspiration hit, and I was able to get my hands on this gorgeous MillaMia cotton yarn in that beautiful bright white, I knit the whole thing up within 4 days – not an easy feat on 3.25mm needles!
The neckline was actually inspired by that of my Keystone Tank, as I loved the way it sat when I wore it backwards, and the three needle bind off for the straps was a happy idea I stumbled on when pondering the design.
I love that there’s only the side seams to sew, and the fit makes it feel like the perfect piece to throw on during those hottest summer days.
