The Flock Party with Love Knitting

This one is something a little different coming from me today. Last week I had the pleasure to attend The Flock Christmas Party in London, and I wanted to share the experience with you.

The Flock are Love Knitting‘s pattern designers and ambassadors, and we were invited to join the Love Knitting team for an evening of socialising, crafts and fizz!

As a sole attendee, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I arrived, but I was immediately greeted with the warmest welcome and fantastic conversation from the Love Knitting team and my fellow Flock-ers.

We were encouraged to get stuck in and give all of the wonderful yarn a try. The evening also marked the launch of new yarn brand Willow and Lark, and their four yarn lines, ramble, nest, woodland and plume.

The colourways were beautiful, and there was plenty to satisfy my love of all things grey! I also got to get my hands on the recently launched The Yarn Collective’s Hudson Worsted, which was absolutely gorgeous, too.

As well as the yarn tasting and a wonderful crochet gift tag workshop, we were treated to a miniature wreath-making workshop by Victoria of Victoria Windsor Ltd. I absolutely loved this part of the evening, which reignited the non-knitting crafter in me and has made me want to make all of the things! I’m so pleased with the two lovely wreaths I was able to bring home.

I had such a fantastic evening. The setting was magical and it felt so wonderfully connected and joyful to be there with so many like-minded people.

Of course, as with any good event, no one went home empty handed, and I now have a selection of Willow and Lark yarns to try out for myself, so you can expect to see them in my upcoming projects!

I definitely hope to be invited again next year, and I couldn’t be happier with how the party kicked off my festive season!
