I’m super excited to be starting a new feature on the KNITS PLEASE blog today! Like most knitters, I expect, I’m always so blown away by the amazing talent, passion and community of our fellow knitters (and other yarn wizards) on Instagram. I’ve definitely found it to be a hub of inspiration and connection, and it’s something that I really value. I’ve found patterns I want to make, yarns I love and people I’ve become friends with, all in that little space online.
While I understand that Instagram can also feel like quite a negative space sometimes, and it’s easy to get into the habit of comparing yourself to others and feeling like you can’t keep up, I really want to highlight the positives. I think it’s important to champion our fellows, give each other a boost up and celebrate success, all across the board, and I’m starting right now!
