I love a good community activity, and #socktober is just that. Knitters all over the world spend the month of October knitting socks. It feels like the perfect thing to be doing when the weather is starting to turn. You’re preparing for cooler days, and what’s better than a pair of lovingly knitted socks to keep your toes toasty warm? You can knit them for yourself (like I did!) or for friends and family, or maybe get a head start on the festive season by rustling up a pair as a Christmas gift. I’ve seen so many socks over the past few weeks that I’ve been tempted to join #operationsockdrawer and replace all my existing, boring socks, with awesome hand-knit ones, but I think that’s a thought for another day…
My contribution to #socktober was these little colour blocked ankle socks. I really love the combination of the aqua colour with the grey, and I’ve been dying to make something with this yarn ever since I bought it on impulse a few months ago!
